Mr. President, you have been re-elected on the promises that you will raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans to help pay for our enormous and ever growing debt. You also promised that you will not touch Social Security and other vital programs that serve the most vulnerable and needy in society. We have heard your message and we have voted for you and your Democratic allies. You do NOT need to make ANY concessions to the Republicans in this negotiation. Numerous polls have shown that the Republicans are in the wrong in this debate, and that the American people will hold the Republicans in Congress accountable should we go over the fiscal cliff. So please, grow some back bone and stand your ground. Make them concede to you, not you to them.
