Do not give Congress a raise.

STOP THE CONGRESSIONAL PAY RAISE NOW!
While I am not against rank-and-file federal employees receiving a pay raise, Congress should NOT receive a pay raise. News reports say that Congressmen will receive on average $900 per year (current salary $178,000 per year) with Congressional leaders receiving on average from $1000 to $1200 per year (current salary $220,000-$230,000 per year). This is a shame and disgrace considering the fact that they have not done their job in years! While Congress wants to cut benefits to Social Security and disability to Americans who are only surviving they are getting a raise. Most Americans have not received a raise in years; that is, if they even have a job!! Please sign this petition to STOP THE CONGRESSIONAL PAY RAISE NOW!
