Do not intervene militarily in Syria

Created by A.M. on August 27, 2013

While the Asad regime has committed grave human rights violations in Syria, military intervention in Syria is not the answer.

History shows that military intervention in foreign countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, and Vietnam is ineffective and costly. These wars were all lengthy, expensive, and cost many Americans their lives. Considering that the country is in $16 trillion of debt and that the Asad regime poses no threat to Americans in the US, asking our soldiers to put their lives on the line and asking taxpayers to pay for another war is unethical and economically irresponsible.

I ask that you join me in asking our government to avoid making a costly mistake in Syria.
