Larry Summers has been a disaster for the economy. During his time in Washington, Larry pushed for the deregulation of the financial industry in the 1990's. This included both pushing to end the Glass-Stegall Act as well as fighting against attempts to regulate risky financial derivatives.
Furthermore, after the 2008 financial collapse, he spearheaded the Wall Street bailout while shooting down attempts to put tough conditions on the banking industry. As a result, the Wall Street banks are now 30% larger than they were in 2008 with very little new regulation in place to stop another collapse.
America needs someone who will focus more on helping Main Street and less on Wall Street. Larry Summers is NOT that person. Please do not nominate him to be the Chair of the Federal Reserve
