Mr. President,
We the people are petitioning you to stand by your previous statements and not allow another tax to be placed on the middle class of America.
The Honorable Diane Feinstein's current proposed bill would limit the sale or transfer of all banned firearms, as well as the right for current owners to leave the firearms to their estate in the event of death. This would constitute a tax of the value of the weapons upon the death of the owner. This could equal thousands of dollars for many families. Even in the event of financial crises affected owners would be unable to sell their weapons to pay for essentials. Please stand true to your word and prevent yet another meaningless tax being placed on us the American people.
