We the people ask the federal government to Tell us what the federal government is doing about an issue:

Do not put sanctions in place against the Russian Federation.

Created by Z.W. on December 29, 2016

Despite the fact that the election of Donald J. Trump went against statistical predictions, there is virtually no solid evidence that Russian officials were successful in, or even attempted to effect the outcome of the election. President Barack Obama wants to punish the Russian Federation for an aggression, for which he has offered little to no supporting evidence, with only circumstantial claims.
We cannot sabotage positive diplomatic relations between the United States and any other county, especially that with the world's second most powerful military, without having well founded evidence to support.
Frustration at the outcome of an election cannot be made a valid reason to make official, unfounded accusations. We therefore ask that any related sanctions be stopped, or removed.
