If you believe raising minimum wage will improve the economy, YOU'RE the problem!
Doing so will raise all expenses around you to accommodate the new 'MINIMUM' wage . Profession wages won't rise, therefore making the profession less beneficial financially and less desirable.
Minimum wage was not meant to raise a family off of. So what America needs to do is lower ALL expenses so the value of money can RISE again!
