Military members should not have joined the Profession of Arms for any of the perks and entitlements nor should those motivate them to wake up each morning and do what is asked of them. Reasons for joining should be:
-HONOR
-Taking a stand against terrorism
-Answering the call to serve our country
-PRIDE
-Family tradition
-Devotion to duty
-Learning new skills
-Personal improvement
-Good citizenship
-A test of ones courage
-Helping those in need
-To PROTECT and DEFEND
Many folks in the military have forgotten what it truly means to serve our country.
