That statue of a girl commemorates young girls who were raped by the Japanese soldiers as 15year olds. As a 15 year olds, their bodies were perverted just for those soldiers' enterteinment. They are still very deeply hurt and mourn for the pain they received as an innocent and young girls. What the soldiers did to the girls were inhumane and cruel. Japan should acknowledge their faults and let the world and let the people know the right history so that such a tragedy does not happen again. Trying to cover up thier faults will only hurt the victims. People should remember those girls who lost their innocence to the cruel uncivilized soldiers. And therefore, the statue needs to be where it is now. Please do not remove the statue.
