Do not support or sign the PROTECT IP Act (Preventing Real Online Threats to Economic Creativity and Theft of Intellectual Property Act of 2011) (United States Senate Bill S.968)
This bill allows for the government to censor and block websites on the Internet. This is the same thing that China, Iran, and other countries do to suppress the freedom of speech of their citizens. This bill will fundamentally destroy the Internet as we know it by allowing the courts to order private companies such as Google or Microsoft to remove search results that the government does not like. President Obama, please publicly come out against this bill that amounts to nothing less then censorship of our fundamental rights to freedom of speech as guaranteed by the US Constitution.
