All schools should have a lock down once school starts, and a buzzer to be let in after classes begin.
Do not leave citizens unable to protect themselves by taking guns away. Other wise, make driving cars illegal because car accidents kill people everyday. Make alcohol illegal, because drunk drivers kill people every day. Only the criminials will have guns if you take them away from law abiding citizens.
