Do not under any circumstances mint or threaten to mint a coin to avoid obeying the debt ceiling

We petition the Obama administration to openly accept that minting a coin of any value to attempt to use as a legal loophole to avoid the debt ceiling is out of the question, and to issue a statement addressing that this will not be a course that is chosen and congress should immediately pass legislation to limit the value that can be placed on any minted coin.
The Obama administration got the tax hikes it so desperately wanted early this year, as well as more money to be funneled into entitlement programs by extending unemployment benefits. The opposition was given little to nothing in return. Its time for Obama and his party to sit down and negotiate on how to reduce our spending rather than taking his ball and running home like a child and simply minting a coin to circumvent congress
