WAY too much of our payments are going towards interest, which means hardly anything is going towards the actual loan. I'm paying about $500/month between 3 student loans! We would be able to afford a new car if I wasn't paying the banks so much a month in interest. I'd almost be better off without my degree since there's so little jobs in my field and and I'm not earning enough to afford the loans!
If forgiving the whole loan is too much, President Obama, at least stop the interest so we can pay back the amount borrowed. I'd much rather be stimulating the economy then paying Wells Fargo and Chase ridiculous amounts of [what should be criminal] interest on money I needed to pay for an education! Please stop punishing us for getting an education. Banks got a bailout, why can't The People?
