do something to assist the umemployed in receiving assistance i.e. food and medical lower middle class people

Created by T.M. on October 26, 2011

In Georgia if you are a single parent with college age children and you have lost your job and you receive 151 dollar per week in unemployment you are not eligible for assistance. Your children are not eligible if they are living at home and you provide for their upkeep because there is something called ineligible student. Policy should be change about Food assistance and Medical assistance due to the fact that more people are unemployed and life and living situations have changed drastically for so many people. It's not fair that you have to have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in order to receive assitance i.e. Food stamps and medicaid. Having a vehicle should not be an elimating factor for receiving food assistance and medical coverage from the state. This policy should be changed.
