do for the transgender community in the military what he did for the LGB community in the military, after repealing DADT

Created by S.B. on December 04, 2012

This petition would allow all transgender service members to serve openly in the military without fear of being discharged. They would be granted healthcare insurance to allow a smooth transition to the gender they were meant to be; would be guaranteed a safe and secure workplace, devoid of all harassment and intimidation. When DADT was repealed, gay, lesbian and bisexual individuals were granted the same rights of every other service member. Now, when any government official refers to the progress made, LGB - T is always used to describe those who benefited from the repeal. This is not true. No benefits whatsoever have been given to transgender individuals; in fact, they are readily discharged, often as a pre-existing condition with no benefits; at a time when they need benefits.
