Put term limits on all congressional and senatorial seats. Deduct any amount given to a congressman or senator from any lobbyist or PAC. Hold them accountable.
We hold our teachers accountable for their ineptitude. We are entrusting our future and our children's future to you. If you do not do as you have been asked and elected to do, you should pay the price. Stop allowing congressmen and senators from giving themselves raises by not voting against the motion. This only encourages them not to go to work. Pay politicians like we pay teachers. If it's a "Put up or Shut Up" environment, we might finally get some true and decent public servants.
