Do whatever is required to get police officers(such as myself) and other emergency first responders back to work!

There are far too many emergency first responders such as police officers, firefighters, and EMT's who are qualified and eager to serve their communities but can not find work because of a budget shortfall. Our communities are tired of needing first responders to come to their aid and either having to wait longer because of a shortage of personnel or feel their emergency situation was not adequetly handled because of first responders needing to get back to the streets or service another emergency. There is no reason why a police officer(such as myself) should be forced to work as a reserve(non paid) officer and I am assuming the same duties and risk as any full time officer on the streets. Something needs to be done about this and needs to be addressed immediately!
