Senate Republicans have declared they will not consider any nominee put forth by President Obama to fill the vacant Supreme Court seat left by the late Justice Antonin Scalia.
This is an abdication of their duties under the U.S. Constitution to hold timely hearings and give an up or down vote on a nominee to the bench.
If any American citizen were to refuse to do their job, they would be fired. At the very least, they would not get paid for work they failed to do.
Therefore, we the people petition that all U.S. Senator's paychecks be docked 100% until they do the job they are required by law to do. Furthermore, any and all other compensation should be blocked, including health insurance and travel expenses, until such time as they do their Constitutional duty and consider all nominees.
