Whereas Senate Republicans swore an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States, and,
Whereas Article Two of the Constitution requires that Senators provide "advice and consent" regarding the President's nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, and,
Whereas Senate Republicans have vowed to ignore this part of their job description, then,
Let it be resolved that any Senator refusing to participate in any official hearing to consider a nominee of the U.S..President to the U.S. Supreme Court shall be asked to return to the Federal Government, a portion of his or her remuneration, proportionate to the period of time that he or she failed to do his or her job.
