Dokdo, Korea's island. Not Takeshima. East Sea, the sea in the east of Korea. Not the Sea of Japan.

Created by D.L. on March 20, 2014

Hello, I am a Korean elementary school student.
I am not good at English but I am writing this petition because I don't want Korea to lose our sea and island.
Dokdo, the island in the east of Korea, was proven in many ways that it is Korea's property, but the Japanese government is still arguing that its theirs although they have no supporting evidences. Also, the East Sea of Korea was proven to be the East Sea in historical references, traditional and cultural minds. However, Japan ignored all of that and started calling it the Sea of Japan. I think this is wrong and I hope the President of the United States, Mr. Obama, would read this and help Korea reclaim their sea and island.
