HSBC recently admitted to laundering millions of dollars in drug money and to making illegal transactions to Iran and other countries. Right now they are not facing any jail time for this and that is just wrong.
Nobody should be given special treatment and we need to punish these heinous acts.
Even if it will have a negative effect on the banking system it should still be done.
We still arrest and imprison people who are the breadwinners for their family when they commit crimes and we shouldn't make an exception here.
That's why we are asking the Obama administration to throw the book at them and not let them just get off.
