ATT has agreed to purchase Time Warner Cable for $80 Billion. This purchase will reduce the number of telecommunications providers across America and give ATT a virtual monopoly in many areas. This will allow ATT to raise prices on internet and cable, both services which millions of Americans rely on for entertainment, business and information needs. Such price increase would undoubtedly have a greater impact on low income or minority families who are already struggling to pay the increasing housing and healthcare costs in our country. Please stand against this joining of the two telecommunication s giants ATT & Time Warner Cable.
