This is a counter petition for "Ban violent video games. Let's help change the violent culture we have seen in the US in recent history."
Censoring violent media is a violation of the first amendment rights. Violent entertainment material have certain rating systems in place and it is up for the parent and education system (since there are some parents that are terrible) to do their jobs to monitor their children's activities and teach them not to be violent.
The petition that this petition counters also ignores the fact that violence has existed long before film and video games. Censoring violent art will not reduce violence.
