Don't Jump! Guide us down from the Fiscal Cliff!
We petition President Obama to hold a nationally televised prime time press conference before Dec 22, beginning with a speech (with charts) where he explains:
1. The problem, specifically our national deficit and debt, its projected increase and why it is critical that we address it. (for ideas http://internetcongress.webs.com/)
2. The plan (not bargaining positions) that explicitly states what tax increases he is proposing over what time frame and what percentage of the new taxes will be applied to the debt Also, specifically, what NEW spending cuts and entitlement reforms are in the plan.
3. The projected impact of his plan on the deficit and debt over the next 10 years and how and why we should support his plan. WE NEED THE TRUTH
