Don't Jump! There's a path down from this Fiscal Cliff.

The Fiscal Cliff is a failure of Leadership. We have been led to the brink and told there is no way down. Tax increases and spending cuts overnight... a great shock to the economy! But any good guide knows, there is another way down. There is a gradual path that gets us to safety. Many options: ( go to http://internetcongress.webs.com/ ) Implement Simpson-Bowles OR Phase out the Bush Tax cuts over 4 years and phase them out for everyone, this is a shared burden. The rich will still see much higher increases; but they cannot do it alone. Everyone must have skin in the game, a little now or a lot more pain later. Reform entitlements and then freeze spending for 4 years to get our house in order. Mr. President, Mr. Speaker LEAD; don't PANDER. We need courage not partisanship.
