Leonard Peltier is a Native American who participated in the 1960's uprising at the Pine Ridge Reservation, organized by the American Indian Movement, accused of shooting two FBI agents. His trial was held under prejudicial circumstances, the primary evidence against him given by a woman of dubious cognitive and emotional mental health who was threatened and coerced by the FBI into testifying. He has been in max security for 41 years. His guilt is in doubt. His health is very poor. Only the spirit of revenge is keeping this old, ill man behind bars and unable to access the medical treatment he needs.
