The NRA has great sway over gun legislation that stretches back 40 years.
Many of our elected officials have succumbed to the NRA's wishes, approving laws which make it too easy to purchase guns and assault weapons.
The recent rise in killings with assault weapons have killed too many people. Most horrific: the innocent school children in Newtown.
Despite public outcry, the NRA is against any change in gun laws.
To Our Elected Officials:
~We elected you, the NRA did not.
~You represent us, not the NRA.
~It is your duty as our elected officials to do what WE want - not the will of the NRA.
We demand that you vote for legislation which protects us, taking these dangerous guns & high capacity magazines off the streets, which we feel does not violate 2nd Amendment rights.
