Don't make Air National Guard service members do a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) for reclassification tech school.

Created by J.W. on March 07, 2014

Currently if an Air National Guard member does reclassification technical school training over 139 days they are required to PCS. Being a PCS the service member only receives Basic Housing Allowance to pay for housing for him / herself at the school location, but nothing for his / her family who might need to stay at home. Sure the family members can PCS with the military member, but doing so could mean having to sale the house back home, and transfer schools for the kids. If sent TDY the member receives Per Diem, money for a hotel, and receives Basic Housing Allowance to take care of his/her family back home. Air National Guard members should be allowed to travel to technical training TDY, or have housing taking care for at the training base so they can take care of their family.
