Don't start another war! Take combat "off the table" for Iran. Use "the money we’re no longer spending at war" at home.

Created by C.M. on January 25, 2012

In his January 25, 2011 State of the Union address, President Obama bragged about ending the war in Iraq and winding down operations in Afghanistan. He went on to say:

"Take the money we’re no longer spending at war, use half of it to pay down our debt, and use the rest to do some nation-building right here at home."

However, when discussing Iran, President Obama would take "no options off the table" to prevent that nation from attaining a nuclear weapon. Regardless of whether or not Iran actually is able to attain such a weapon -- such ability has been disputed -- war (or any form of military combat) should be immediately ruled out as an option in favor of diplomacy and peaceful resolution.

Please, President Obama, fulfill to your promise of avoiding war to do nation-building at home!
