Don't waste taxpayer dollars to sue Lance Armstrong

Created by K.O. on February 23, 2013

The Justice Department is going to sue Lance Armstrong for lying about taking performance-enhancing drugs during his tenure on the US Postal Service bicyling team. I think most Americans would agree that taxpayer dollars are better spent on more pressing issues. In addition, Lance Armstrong made a lot of people a lot of money over his years as a cyclist, probably triple-fold what the Justice Dept wants to sue him for. Lance Armstrong was just one of many cyclists who lived and participated in a 100-year tradition of using PEDs in cycling. So unless the Justice Department plans on suing everyone on the USPS cycling team (including all of the owners and employees) who has admitted to using PEDs or knowing about it, then don't sue anyone at all. Don't use my taxpayer $$ to do it.
