At one time the people of the United States of America came together under the awe and inspiration of the space race. Whether it was for the competition with Russia or if it was just a pure love of the stars we pulled together and made it happen. The economy grew, violence dropped, kids looked forward to learning maths and sciences, America churned. It's time to reinstate that drive for the future of humanity and let us dream of pushing the human race out into the cosmos. Doubling or even tripling the NASA budget would be a drop in the bucket to what we spend on defense. Defend our future by funding its construction.
