Downgrade the pay of politicians and former Presidents to NO MORE than $25,000 PERMANENTLY.

Politicians get enough money from campaign fund raisers and donations to last a lifetime with proper spending habits, they DO NOT NEED an extra pay check cut by the taxpayers of this nation.
On top of fund raisers and donations they receive bribes and gifts under the table to speed up/alter legislation so that it benefits the gift giver and not the regular Joe's of the United States of America.
Because of that I feel this is right:
Any pay in excess of $25,000/yr just to debate is ridiculous, I say this same $25,000/yr max cap should go for Ex-Presidents too.
If our soldiers can be penalized for infractions, then our government should be able to receive penalties too, for dragging down the economy with their spending/loaning and for trying to take our rights away from under our nose.
