Draft and support legislation to provide cell phone bill relief for millions of Americans.

Created by S.E. on June 02, 2013

Americans pay more for their cell phone plans than practically anyone else in the world -- only Canadians pay about as much. We're charged up to 10 cents for SMS messages that are practically free for cell carriers to transmit, and we're locked into contracts that essentially force most mobile consumers into paying for their phones in costly installment plans. Even those who provide their own handset are charged the same amount as those paying for their handsets over installments in their monthly bills.

Legislation should be crafted and passed to prevent cell phone companies from this sort of price gouging. For more detail, see: http://www.howtogeek.com/164490/8-ways-your-wireless-carrier-is-gouging-...
