The UK has announced a reduction of 5,300 servicemen. They will be replaced by reservists. We should do the same thing and make anyone who owns an assault weapon automatically a member of the National Guard. This should not be a problem such ownership implies belief in the need for a well regulated militia. We thus allow them to exercise their constitutional rights and to be responsible citizens at the same time.
