drastically improve the current immigration laws which keep American families apart for indefinite periods of time.

I am an American citizen who applied for an immigrant visa for my husband of 10 years in 2010. We both secured good jobs in Utah however my husbands visa after bring approved by DOS and NVC has been held indefinitely under 'additional processing' for the past 16 months with no time frame for completion. My kids who are 4 and 6 years old are growing up in America without their father meanwhile. There is no justice in the current immigration system whereby a consular officer has czar/dictator like rights to not give a valid reason for this hold up. My husband who is British is meanwhile able to enter the country anytime he likes with no issues whatsoever. This system is flawed and causes pain and aggrevation to many innocent American citizens and the embassies must be made answerable ASAP.
