Currently, kids are grouped together by age, which makes no sense since the goal of school is education, not socialization. I was very mature and intelligent as a kid, but I was forced to be in classes with "typical" kids who were not nearly as smart or mature as I was. I had a keen interest in science, and so i joined the "science club," hoping to meet some mature kids. But we had to work in teams, and the other kids were so immature and idiotic, that I quit science club and never enter a science lab again. Then I tried taking a course on Economics when I was in high school, but the kids in that class were just as immature and idiotic as the kids in the science club. Finally, when I went to college, I was forced to take "general education" courses which had nothing to do with my interests
