In the spirit of Christmas, the President should bring good will to all men. As the Nation's elder statesman, the President has a responsibility to lead by example, and help serve those less fortunate among us. Bringing presents and joy to children who live in abject poverty, and away from the types of robust family networks many Americans enjoy, shows we are one people, indeed one American family. This act of charity, and leadership by example, one that leverages the true spirit of the Christmas season holds the President to this moral imperative. Above all, perhaps Santa Claus can deliver what, undoubtedly, all Americans have been asking for: A reprieve from the bitterly divided political dissonance.
