There are hundreds of women, children, old men and innocent men get killed due to missile attacks by the USA drone attacks. This is true for most of the cases. Very few terrorists get killed in these strikes. Only surveillance activities may be carried out for identification of terrorists and terror suspects.
The down side of drone attacks in more than the benefit. The image of USA gets tarnished as the survivors vow to fight back and this increases the number of anti USA people and provides the terrorists with new recruits. If one terrorist gets killed in drone seven innocents get killed along with him and terrorists get five more recruits for each terrorist killed.
Hence the drone strikes are counterproductive.
