Drones - Stop proposed changes to FAA regulations regarding UAS or model aircraft used for recreational purposes

Created by J.B. on November 23, 2015

Drones - help stop proposed FAA regulation changes that would requires civilians using model aircrafts to register with the FAA and display a registration number on any model aircraft even for recreational use. The proposed rules would apply to any drones, quad copters, helicopters, model airplanes, etc. weighing over 250 grams or about 8 ounces. These proposed regulations would place a huge burden on hobby stores, toy stores, citizens, and the FAA. These recreationally used model aircraft are already regulated to 55 pounds, 400 feet, and not within 5 miles of an airport and have been in use since before the regulations were put in place in 1986.
