In April of 2014, four citizens of the State of Idaho traveled to Nevada to protest the actions of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) during what has become known as the Bundy Ranch Standoff. These men DID NOT travel to Nevada to confront the Government over the roundup of cattle. The Federal Government charged these men with a litany of federal crimes in Case Number 2:16-cr-00046-GMN-PAL that consecutively applied would result in a maximum penalty of 100+ years. The US District Court of the District of Nevada suppressed all discovery evidence from public view through protective order. The BLM and Las Vegas Metro PD escalated the situation by threatening to use lethal force on unarmed protesters. These men postured defensively to, if necessary, protect the lives of unarmed protesters.
