While acknowledging that it is a federal crime to discharge a firearm on federal property, we ask that the Obama administration recommend or force the U.S. Navy to drop all charges against Navy Lt. Cmdr Timothy White for using his personal firearm to defend himself and others during the Chattanooga, TN terrorist attack.
Lt. Cmdr Timothy White acted in an honorable fashion defending himself and others, putting himself to the hazard for their safety. Charging him with a criminal offense for these heroic actions would be in itself a offense to general sensibility and the brave service of our armed forces.
