Drop Daylight Saving Time in the United States

Created by B.G. on March 09, 2014

Why drop Daylight saving time (DST) in the United States? Two reasons:

1. Most studies have shown little to no effect on the energy consumption with DST. The increased demand for "lighting" is actually offset by higher heating & cooling requirements during DST.

2. Shifting sleep patterns for adults isn't as difficult as shifting sleep for children. Most parents do not look forward to shifting their children(s) sleep patterns twice a year.
