The US Attorney's office in Washington State is prosecuting the so called Kettle Falls Five for growing medical marijuana on their property and for personal use. This goes against Department of Justice guidelines issued in a memo regarding utilizing federal funds to enforce marijuana laws in states where it is legal. The DOJ has also stated medical marijuana enforcement is not a department priority. Issue an order to drop charges against this family.
