The word Homeland is inherently un american sounding and portrays a negative and oppressive connotation about our government. It is term the germans commonly use also sounds too much like the "Fatherland" and we certainly aren't Nazis. Simply put the word Homeland is a bad for our country and it needs to go. How about "The Department of Freedom Preservation" or The Department of National Security". Virtually anything sounds more American than "Homeland".
