At the age of 18 you are considered an adult, you are expected to be on your own and to be held acocountable for all of your actions. You are also eligable to join the military and defend your country and risk your life yet you do not have the right to purchase alcohol. The difference between a 18 year old and 21 year old is very small and I do not see the reason an adult cannot purchase his or her own alcohol.
