We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Drop or reduce charges against Deric Lostutter, the Anonymous hacker who exposed the violent rape of an underage girl

Created by D.S. on September 13, 2016

Deric Lostutter, who helped expose the violent rape of an underage girl in Steubenville, Ohio is charged with four felony counts of hacking. He faces a federal trial and up to 16 years in prison while the rapists walk free. His trial will begin on November 8th. The people of the US want the justice system to go after criminals not those who help bring them to justice. The courts have been setting a bad precedent by punishing criminals who can aford large amounts of money for defence lawyers with little or no prison time, while those without means are punished more harshly. In this case the possible prison time doesn't match the crime. This young man's actions brought brutal rapists to trial. We ask that the punishment fit the crime and that the government take action.
