Drop standardized tests as a requirement and basis for college admissions

Standardized Testing, like the SAT and the ACT, are assessments that test the skills and capabilities of high school students. These tests are used for consideration of admission to colleges and universities based on the scores these students receive.
The theory behind these tests seems sound, but high schools students are taught to fear these tests. All the prep for these tests doesn't actually prepare students as these tests aren't distributed until after they are released months after they are initially taken. Meaning, they don't know what to actually study for.
The scores that are given do not accurately reflect a student's knowledge or ability to problem solve and can, possibly, hurt their chances at admissions to colleges and universities.
