A petition for the Administration to drop attempts to avoid oversight of the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership (“TTP”) agreement with Trade Promotion Authority (“TPA”), to work with Congress to ensure that the TTP provide enforceable protections for American workers and the environment, that it prevent foreign investors from challenging American laws or regulations in non-US arbitration panels instead of US Courts, that it require that other nations’ labor laws comply with International Labor Organization standards, that it address other nation’s manipulation of their currencies, and that the President make public the terms of the agreement well in advance of a vote so that it can be debated in Public to ensure the TTP benefits the public interest, not multinational corporate interests..
