It is unconstitutional to make students stand and pledge their allegiance to a god. Not only is this unconstitutional in the sense of forcing students to pledge to a god, it is practicing religion in public schools. Forget the confederates and let us all pledge an allegiance to the country, not to a god in which most students have opposing beliefs.
