Millions of dollars come from tax payers money to recipients on welfare. As a modern and progressive nation we should help the poor and needy in any way possible. To create a more stable atmosphere for the future.This petition suggests that all recipients of welfare should have to earn the welfare they are given. If the recipient of welfare is in school then they should be given mandatory drug tests in order to receive welfare benefits. If a recipient of welfare is Unemployed, laid off, or on disability they should have required drug tests in order to receive welfare benefits. If the recipient is of able body then they should also be required to work at least a part time job. Exceptions to this may be mothers with newborns and veterans.
